The Boys Varsity Cross Country team won their division and finished 5th overall at the New World Fall Spectacular on Saturday. 3 runners finished in the top 20: Steven Cartwright-5th, Chris Messer-14th, and Brandon Peralta-19th. 8 runners finished with Personal Best Times: Cartwright, Messer, Addison Mills, Hunter Monson, Ashton Beaver, Coleman Heaton, and Riley Chunko.

The win moves Providence into 3rd place in the 1A State Rankings trailing Oak Hall by only 7 points. The team continues to hold the top spot in the District rankings and the Regional rankings. All 5 of the team’s scoring runners (Cartwright, Messer, Peralta, Mills, and Monson) are ranked in the top 25 in the District and the top 30 in the Region.

The team travels to Tallahassee on Saturday for the FSU-Pre State Invitational. This will be the team’s final regular season race before the State Series begins on October 24th.
